Information The Valley Gender Equity Committee is a group of representatives from: municipal recreation, Sport Nova Scotia, Community Sport Organizations, Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage: Communities, Sport & Recreation (CCH-CSR) and, key community leaders.  
 
The purpose of the Valley Gender Equity working group is to support opportunities throughout the Annapolis Valley (Windsor to Clare) for women and girls in sport, recreation and physical activity. 
 
Our Vision: Girls and women are participating in, leading and influencing physical activity, sport and recreation in our communities.  
 
Our Mission: We will engage with stakeholders to build capacity and create supportive environments for girls and women within the Valley region through networking, training, recognition and program support.
