| Information |   MAT MONSTERS A PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 4-13 FOCUSED ON FUN! FITNESS! AND CONFIDENCE! Abhaya's Mat Monsters program teaches more than just self-defense. Kids who train in martial arts learn self-respect and self-discipline while increasing their overall level of health and fitness. We have three classes throughout the week for kids 4 to 13 years old. Mat Monsters classes are a combination of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, self defense fundamentals and fun martial arts games that teach kids to follow instructions and maintain focus. As the kids get older and or are invited to the advanced classes the classes include more in-depth technical instruction and a higher focus on competition but there's still time for fun and games, too. Mat Monster's membership dues are eligible for the Government of Nova Scotia's Healthy Living Tax Incentive.  |
