Information | PLEASE RESPECT PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS WHILE FINDING AND HIDING ROCKS. ![]() FINDING A ROCK: If you find a rock, take a picture or a selfie and share it with us here! You are welcome to either keep or re-hide the rock. There is no requirement to replace the rock you find with another. HIDING ROCKS: Hide your rocks in public places, not on private property (including Retail and Commercial properties) and not in cemeteries. Do not place rocks in the grass where they may be hit by lawnmowers or weed whackers. Write on the back of the rock; post a picture or selfie to MOK Rocks Facebook Group, keep or re-hide. Do not add or remove rocks from Municipal, Provincial or National Parks/Beaches or along railroad beds. https://novascotia.ca/sns/paal/dnr/paal061.asp Do not attach any accessories such as googly eyes, pipe cleaners, or pompoms to the rocks as they will create litter and could be a potential hazard to wildlife. You may give hints of where you've hidden your rocks but it's not required. Please Note: There is no guarantee your rocks will be found and posted to the MOK Rocks page; so please just enjoy the recreational aspects and enjoy time spent around the beautiful Municipality of the County of Kings. Some rocks are never reported being found, while some turn up months later. |
