|Description & Services|
Thanks to a grant from Recreation Nova Scotia and some amazing community partnerships (Middleton Family Feed, Ivan Trimper Excavation, our Middleton Parks & Recreation Staff, Middleton Public Works, Kate Powell and artist/carver Brent Reeve) we are happy to announce that on September 25th, 2019 there was a grand opening for our new Heart & Mind Wellness Path.
By using signs with visual demonstrations and step by step instructions of yoga poses, people can self-guide themselves on a journey through beautiful Rotary Riverside Park along the Annapolis River and then sit in a quiet meditation garden and relax. Over the years our own Rotary Club has committed many resources to achieving the beauty and maturity the park boasts today. This new feature fits right in. Enjoy the sound of the river, the birds, the smell of the flowers and whisper of the trees. Enjoy the sight of amazing rock carvings placed throughout the park. Enjoy walking, yoga and meditation in a safe environment accessible to everyone and for free. Come out for an early morning stroll, a lunchtime yoga break or an evening meditation in the park. Bring a friend and your yoga mat if so inclined!
