| Information |  At Avon Dance Academy, our objective is to instill creativity, confidence, musicality, self-esteem, self-expression, discipline, and proper technique in our students. Whether a student plans a career in dance or dances for fun, we are committed to helping them reach their goals. Audience appreciation and applause is the best reward of all. Avon Dance Academy offers a variety of classes for ages three and older. In the Recreation Program, dances may choose from Pre-Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Acro, musical theatre and character. Recreation classes are held once a week. The Performance Program allows students to take their training to the next level, with emphasis placed on developing strong technique, artistry, and performance skill. Students train multiple days a week taking classes in Ballet (2 types offered along with separate exam classes) and Jazz with electives in Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, Contemporary, Character and Musical Theatre. All students perform in the Holiday Showcase and the June Recital. Students in the Performance Program also perform pieces in various venues around the province. |
